Peter was one of Jesus’ closest friends, but when Jesus was arrested, Peter got scared and said he didn’t even know Him—three times! Later, Peter felt really sorry. After Jesus came back to life, He talked with Peter and forgave him. Jesus still loved Peter and gave him a special job to help lead the church. This story reminds us that Jesus always forgives us when we’re sorry, and we should forgive others too—just like it says in Colossians 3:13.
