Before Jesus went to the cross, He prayed for His friends and for everyone who would follow Him one day. He asked God to help them, protect them, and keep them united in love. Jesus cares about us so much that He even prayed for us! The Bible also teaches in 1 Timothy 2:1-3 that we should pray for other people—our friends, family, and even our leaders. Prayer is one way we show love and trust in God.
