Jesus is alive. The Easter story begins with God’s love for us. God loved us so much God sent His Son Jesus to be our friend forever. One night when Jesus is having dinner with his friends, the disciples, Jesus tells them He has to go away but He will come back. After dinner, Jesus goes to a garden to pray. Some angry people come and take Jesus away. They hurt Jesus, and He dies. All of Jesus’ friends are so sad. They put Jesus’ body in a tomb and roll a big stone in front of it. But three days later, the stone rolls away, and Jesus is alive! Jesus came back just like He said He would! On Easter, we celebrate the happiest day because Jesus is alive!
