God told Samuel to find the next king of Israel. He went to Jesse’s house to meet his sons. They all looked strong, but God didn’t choose them. Then Samuel saw the youngest son, David, who was out taking care of sheep. God said, “He’s the one!” Samuel poured oil on David’s head to show he was chosen. God looks at the heart, not just the outside!
