FAQ's About Transit Weekend

Q: What does the cost include?
A:
The cost of Transit Weekend includes meals, outings, a t-shirt, as well as session and small group materials.

Q: If I have questions before or during the event, who can I contact?
A:
If you have any questions about Transit Weekend you can email transit@npaustin.com. We also will have an emergency contact whose name and number will be provided to all parents who register before Transit Weekend.

Q: When is Transit Weekend 2025?
A:
Transit Weekend is February 14th-15th. When you register you are signing your student up to be a part of the whole weekend (Friday Night to Saturday Night).

Q: What is a small group?
A:
A small group is a group of students who are in the same grade and are the same gender. At Transit we value the importance of community, and there is no place a student can grow more in their life and faith then through the context of a small group, that's why Transit Weekend is the best weekend of the year, because it's a whole weekend designed for the strength and bonding of groups.

Q: What if Transit Weekend is the first time my student is a part of anything Transit related, how will I know whose small group they are in?
A:
If your student got invited by a friend who is in their grade and is their gender, then we will honor your student to be a part of their friends small group. If your student got invited by someone else or if you have signed them up on your own accord, we will place them in a small group that mostly attends their school so they can make connections with friends at Transit and at school as well.

Q: Is Transit Weekend an overnight event?
A:
No, Transit Weekend will consist of three sessions at Northpoint: Friday night, Saturday morning, and Saturday night. Your student will need to be picked up at the end of the day Friday and Saturday once the sessions are over. For Saturday afternoon, each small group will go on an outing together in which they will be driven from Northpoint to the outing and back to Northpoint by volunteer drivers (all of which will be background checked prior to the weekend).

Q: Will there be Transit on Sunday February 16th?
A:
Yes! We hope to see your student at either 9:30 am or 11:00 am in Transit!
